Wertheim

Until going to this town, the only thing I knew about Wertheim was it was a brand of vacuum cleaner!  It was a lovely little town. Bruce and I joined an 8 km bike ride to a small village and recreational park. Very scenic. We then had time to check out the town.  I bought some really cool red patent laces up shoes, not terribly practical but beautiful. You can see by the photo, Bruce sneaking home with his purchases!!! The picture of the house is the narrowest house in Wertheim.  The taxes were calculated by the width of your house, height had no bearing. Last night a local glass blower came and did a very entertaining demonstration.  One of his studios is in this house. I didn't realize that all the scientific glass was hand blown.
